The first time I talked to Abigail on the phone, I instantly loved her. We spent an hour chatting about how her and Austin first met, how he was “the guy with the swoopy hair”, and how she finally realized she had feelings for him. The two of them have spent a lot of time apart, with Abigail currently stationed in Alaska. Their engagement session was like watching a rom-com. Abigail and Austin bringing laughter and life everywhere with them. I am unsure who was more excited for their wedding, me or them. When I asked her what she was most excited about, she replied “Everything. To finally be together and enjoy our loved ones.” Watching all of that love unfold on their day, knowing that their long-distance was FINALLY over, it was beautiful.
Abigail got ready at her house, which was a farmhouse on some land straight out of a movie. Dreamy, romantic, pride a prejudice vibes. The earth-tone eclectic details tied together perfectly with the ABSOLUTE MOST AMAZING flower hoops for her bridesmaids. If you love that boho vibe, this is the wedding you need to stalk. Take a peek at some of these details below.
We all cozied up in her mom’s sitting room with coffee (not pictured, my new BFF’s the guinea pigs, whom I tried to force my love on). It was a perfect start for Abigail and Austin, full of love, so calm, so happy. I loved bearing witness to how much everyone loves them.
I am so in love with this eclectic bridal party look. Every color is my favorite! It’s the perfect blend of all those jewel tone, fall colors. Proof you don’t have to get married in the fall to rock those gorgeous details.
Every single detail tied in perfectly with the boho vibe Abigail wanted. The hanging lanterns, the perfect jewel toned flowers, the suspenders on the groomsmen, the gorgeous greenery.
When I say the details of this wedding were so unique, and eclectic, let me point you to exhibit A: a recitation of quotes from the Princess Bride to tell the love story of Austin and Abigail, complete with the hat. I mean, I was peeing myself laughing, it was so perfectly them and so hilarious. I mean, if you’re gonna do it, maybe just really go all in, like 110%, right?
But who is more excited, them or Abigails brother?
Austin and Abigail’s love for each other is so sincere. The minute I met them, I could see how deep it runs. They respect each other, they have fun together, and they are the best of friends. Their lives together so far have brought so many good things into the world. Spending one on one time with them after the wedding, letting them relish in the day, in the start of their new journey, it fills me with so much hope. Good and beautiful things are worth celebrating, and celebrating them was an honor.
Hey everyone, let’s all pinky swear to not swoon over this elopement for too long. OK WHO AM I KIDDING. This wedding was what dreams are made of, and Disney movies for that matter. When Kristen told me that she and Zach had changed their venue last minute to the Indiana State House, I had no idea what to expect, and jokes on me because now I want to live there. The architecture of this building was only the most perfect backdrop for this dreamy, intimate elopement. Take a look at all these gorgeous details, emotional moments, and a match made in Harry Potter heaven.
Kristen’s dress was DEADLY GORGEOUS. Can you deal? She found it in the most obscure way and it couldn’t have been dreamier.
